| JOHN FORD Movies became the mass entertainment of the 20th century. The U.S., for its part, is known as the kingdom of the Western. Ford directed films such as My Darling Clementine (this illustration) and She wore a Yellow Ribbon, portrayed in very poetic ways the spirit of the man of the West. | |
